    Type B FIBC bags:

    Type B FIBC  are made from virgin polypropylene added anti-static electricity master batch material that have a low breakdown voltage to prevent the occurrence of highly energetic, and dangerous propagating brush discharges (PBD).

    Type B FIBCs are similar to Type A bulk bags in that they are made from plain-woven polypropylene or other non-conductive material. Similar with Type A bulk bags, Type B bulk bags do not have any mechanism for dissipating static electricity.

    The only advantage to Type A is that Type B bulk bags are made from materials that have a low breakdown voltage to prevent the occurrence of highly energetic, and dangerous propagating brush discharges (PBD).

    Although Type B FIBC can prevent PBD, they are not considered antistatic FIBCs because they do not dissipate electrostatic charges and so normal brush discharges can still occur, which can ignite flammable solvent vapours.

    Type B FIBCs are mainly used to transport dry, flammable powders while no flammable solvents or gases exist around the bags.

    Type B FIBCs should not be used where a flammable atmosphere with a minimum ignition energy ≤3mJ is present.

    known as conductive FIBCs or ground-able FIBCs , are made from non-conductive polypropylene interwoven with conducting yarns, normally in a grid pattern.     Type C bulk bags are used for transporting dangerous goods like chemical, medical and other industries. In other words, they can transport flammable powders when flammable solvents, vapors, gases or combustible dusts exist around the bags.

    On the other hand, Type C FIBCs should not be used when gound(earth) connection bonding point is not present or has been damaged.

    Type D FIBCs are made from antistatic or dissipative fabrics designed to safely prevent the occurrence of incendiary sparks, brush discharges and propagating brush discharges without the need for a connection from the FIBCs to the ground/earth during the filling and discharging process.

    Type D bulk bags usually adopt Crohmiq fabric in white and blue to manufacture which fabric contains quasi-conductive yarns that safely dissipate static electricity into the atmosphere via safe, low-energy corona discharge. Type D bulk bags can be used to safely transport combustible and explosive material and handle them in flammable environments. The use of Type D bags can eliminate the risk of human error associated with the manufacturing and use of ground-able Type C FIBC.
